Privacy Policy
Effective June 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Jounce collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use our website and services (the “Service”). It also explains the important difference between the data we handle for our own business and the recipient data our customers bring to Jounce.
1.Who this applies to
This Policy covers visitors to our website, people who create a Jounce account, and the subscribers whose information our customers process through Jounce.
2.Information we collect
- Account information you provide, such as your name, email address, company, and billing details.
- Content and audience data you upload, including the contact information of your subscribers (“Subscriber Data”).
- Information collected automatically, such as device and browser details, IP address, and usage and log data, including through cookies.
3.Controller and processor
For the account information you give us, Jounce is the data controller. For the Subscriber Data you upload and send to, you are the controller and Jounce acts as a processor on your behalf. You are responsible for having a lawful basis — such as consent — to process and email those contacts, as set out in our Acceptable Use Policy.
4.How we use information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
- To send and deliver the email you create.
- To secure the platform and prevent abuse and spam.
- To communicate with you about your account and the Service.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
5.Email delivery and third parties
We use trusted third-party infrastructure providers to run the Service and to send and deliver email — for example, cloud hosting and email-delivery services. These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements and only as needed to provide the Service.
6.How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate Jounce, when required by law or to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
7.Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and to meet our legal obligations, after which we delete or anonymize it.
8.Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9.Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing — for example under the EU GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Contact us to exercise these rights. If you are a subscriber of a Jounce customer, please contact that customer directly; we will assist them as their processor.
10.Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
11.International transfers
We may process information in countries other than your own. Where we do, we use appropriate safeguards to protect it as required by applicable law.
12.Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
13.Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Effective” date above.
